The Renovation and Rehabilitation Project for COPE Center, Inc., involves the historic restoration of the building’s limestone and brick facade, and the insertion of a new structural steel framework for building stabilization. To further meet the needs of the building owner/tenant, the original four spaces have been consolidated into one, with a single floor elevation and a single entrance. Facade details are modified to accomplish this while being as faithful to what is believed to be original as possible. The entire interior is being restored for reasons of life safety, for accessibility by physically handicapped persons and to meet the client’s needs. Site improvements are also being implemented for improved parking and drainage.
